Posto se klasifikacije ne podudaraju sasvim sa haplogrupama, mislio sam na karakterologiju kada sam spomenuo nordide.
Nordidi po karakteru su veoma specificna vrsta. Kratko vreme sam ziveo na severu Nemacke i jedan tipican nordid se ponasao veoma povuceno i ima slabo izgradjeno samouverenje. Toliko se "bledo" ponasa, da ga covek na ulici ne moze ni primetiti. A ako slucajno ti njemu negde u hektici u nekoj metro stanici cipelu zgazis, on ce se prema svojoj plasljivoj prirodi pre tebi izvinuti, nego sto ce od tebe neko izvinjenje ocekivati. To ti je jedan tipican nordid, toliko plasljive prirode, da na ulici ni zenskoj koja ga je sa nogu oborila ne sme da pridje od neke sramote i stida.Jedan drugi tip nordida postoji na primer u Holandiji. Ziveo sam jedno duze vreme na zapadu Nemacke blizu holandske granice pa i njihovu prirodu poznajem. Oni opticki nisu mnogo razliciti od severne Nemacke, Danske, juzne Skandinavije, ali su totalni kontrast ostalim nordidima iz spomenutih krajeva. Oni su veoma veseli i ekstrovertirani, nemaju problema u komunikaciji sa bliznjima niti nepoznatima. Doduse imaju i oni neku vrsti razuma, tako da u mnogim situacijama gde jedan dinarac emotivno reaguje, za njih je to jednostavno neshvatljivo i imaju utisak da se radi o psihicki slaboj osobi. Ali sve u svemu nisu onog negativnog i pesimistickog kova kao na primer Nemci i Svedjani.

Takav razuman i trezven karakter kod nas u takvoj ekstremno formi nema. Narod kod nas je u najvise slucajeva emotivan i ima zdrav odnos prema svojim osecanjima i nema problem da ih izkaze. Odlucuje delom prema razumu, ali i prema sopstvenom predosecaju. Dok nordidi uvek prema nekoj svojoj brutalnoj racunici odlucuju, cak iako to nije uvek u harmoniji sa licnim osecanjima.Znaci nezavisno od haplogrupe i genetske analize, prema antropoloskim kategorijama taj nordijski tip kod nas Srba je veoma slab, mozda u nekoj jednozifrenoj procentualno kolicini, ali vise ne. Tako da je za mene veoma sumnjiva izjava kada neko kaze Srbi su prvobitno imali nordijske korene, a od njih se danas skoro nista ne vidi (ako uzmemo za primer Svedjane ili severne Nemce kao prototip nordida).
Po meni je to vise neki kompleks nize vrednosti, jer je taj nordijski tip navodno kao najsupriorniji, pa time neki hoce povezati srbsko poreklo sa nordidima, koji se ustvari sa kombinacijom kromanjonaca i dinarida sa nasih prostora ne mogu meriti. Oni nikad ni nisu bili neki fanaticni ljubitelji treceg rajha niti su posebno bili za Hitlera, mozda su zbog njihove plasljive prirode bili pasivni, ali pravi obozavaoci ustvari bili juzni Nemci dominanti alpinidi i razni derivati alpinske grane. Ali isto tako zbog njihove slabosti nisu bili ni dovoljno jaki da ustanu protiv njega kao sto bi to dinarac uradio (mada politicki pogledano od 2000./2008./2012., masovno smo postali poslusni plasljivi nordidi, dinarskog duha zednog pravde i slobode danas u Srba vise nema).

Malo preterana analiza u odnosu na nas, ali je iz ovoga istina da su Nemačke pokretačke snage za ratovanja, u stvari njihovi Dinarici i Zapadni Mediteranci.

Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes
If the Treaty of Versailles was bitter to the Magyars, it was more than bountiful to the southern Slavs, the Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, whom the Magyars cut off, centuries ago, from their northern linguistic kinsmen. The present kingdom of Yugoslavia includes almost the totality of the three Slavic peoples mentioned, but also hundreds of thousands of Magyars, Bulgarians, and Albanians, to mention merely the more numerous of the subject minorities. Geographically, Yugoslavia is for the most part mountainous; culturally, it covers the entire range front the sophisticated civilization of central Europe to the Early Iron Age survival of the Balkan highlands.
Among the Yugoslavs, religion as well as language forms a source of division; the Croats and Slovenes are Catholics, the Serbs are mostly Greek Orthodox. Under the term Serb are included, however, such diverse peoples as the Serbs Proper, the Montenegrins, the Bosnians, the Herzegovinians, and the Dalmatians. The Bosnians and Herzegovinians include large minorities of Moslems and Catholics, and the latter are particularly numerous in Dalmatia. Aside from the Serbs Proper, only the Montenegrins, whose religion served for centuries as a symbol of resistance to the Turks, are almost to a man Greek Orthodox.
Neither language nor religion, however, nor general type of civilization, has much bearing on the, problem of race in Yugoslavia, since within this kingdom lies the concentration point of the entire Dinaric racial zone, which has its western terminus in Austria, Switzerland, northern Italy, and southern Germany, and its eastern in Albania. This Dinaric zone closely follows the mountain chain which borders the Adriatic, and is centered in Montenegro. It is the primary function of this section, and of that on Albania which follows, to dissect this Dinaric nucleus and to elucidate the Dinaric problem. We shall consider in turn the following segments of the southern Slavic nation: Slovenes, Croats, Serbs, Bosnians, Herzegovinians, Dalmatians, and Montenegrins.
The Slovenes,118 who are the westernmost of the southern Slavs, are linguistically closest to the Croats, whom they border on the south and east. They arrived in their present territory in the seventh century A.D., and absorbed the remnants of the Keltic and Illyrian peoples who had persisted in one form or other through the invasions and turmoils of the preceding centuries. Their chief area is the former Austrian province of Carniola, where they form 94 per cent of the population; beyond its borders they extend into Styria and Carinthia, and in the south they occupy part of the peninsula of Istria.
In stature, head form, and pigmentation, they cannot be distinguished from the Austrians upon whose territory they touch; their mean height being 168 cm., their cephalic index 83.4, and almost half having medium brown to blond hair, while light and light-mixed eyes total nearly 70 per cent. The length and breadth dimensions of the head, however, fall at the small end of the Alpine and Dinaric ranges, with means of 183 mm. and 154 mm.; furthermore, their facial dimensions are rather small, with a total face height no greater than 120 mm., and a bizygomatic diameter of 140 mm. A nasal index of 68 is accompanied by a 25 per cent incidence of concave nasal profiles. The metrical characters detailed above indicate that while the stature and head form of the general Dinaric area are approximated by these Slavs, the Neo-Danubian type which has reëmerged so completely in northern and eastern Slavic territory is also to be reckoned with here. The Slovenes provide a partial breach in the Dinaric racial continuity, comparable to that provided by the Germanic element in Austria.
This continuity is, however, partially restored by the Croatians,119 who, with a mean stature of 170 cm., and a mean cephalic index of 85, are intermediate in many respects between the Slovenes and the Serbs. The pigmentation of the Croatians is equivalent to that of the Slovenes; their faces are longer and wider, however, their noses longer, and nasal concavity is reduced to 15 per cent of the whole.
The Serbs, who live for the most part to the north and east of the main Dinaric Alpine chain, and immediately east of the Bosnians and Montenegrins, founded a kingdom, alter their invasion from the north in the seventh century, in the country drained by the headwaters of the Lim and White Drin rivers, in what is now the Ipek region of eastern Montenegro, and the Mitrovitza country.120 The previous occupants were Romanized, Latin-speaking descendants of Illyrians and Thracians, and of colonists from other parts of the Roman Empire planted there by the emperors. During the twelfth century the Serbs expanded southward onto the plain of Kossovo, whence they made further conquests. Old Serbia, which arose as an important kingdom during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, had as its centers Skoplje and Prizren, which, for the last five centuries, have been mostly inhabited by Turks and Albanians.
The Serbs expanded, during the period of their efflorescence, into Albania, Macedonia, and Thessaly; the arrival of the Ottoman Turks, however, in the latter part of the fourteenth century, terminated this period of expansion, and many of the Serbs fled northward, while others became Turkicized and Albanized. The Albanians, many of whom were converted to Islam, worked with the Turks rather than against them, and after the flight of the Serbs from the plain of Kossovo, this region was soon colonized by Albanians, many of whom still remain there. The once important Serbian influence in Albania has left few vestiges, other than Slavic place names, and the presence of a few islands of Moslem Serb speakers in the mountains, as in the Gora district of Luma.
In studying the racial history of the Balkans, it must be borne in mind that here more than elsewhere in Europe, linguistic and ethnic boundaries are constantly changing; there have been many wholesale emigrations and immigrations; whole countrysides have changed not only masters, but also peasantry, in mass evictions and mass colonizations. The Balkan peoples change their languages and ethnic identities with difficulty and only after bitter oppression; it is easier to transplant than to alter them; once converted, however, they become as ardent partisans of the new allegiance as of the old. The Serbs have been subjected to these disturbances as much as have the others. Their position as the dominant people of Yugoslavia has only been won through centuries of retrenchment and struggle; their present effort to Slavicize by force the minorities within their boundaries is a commonplace of Balkan history.
The modern Serbs, like the rest of the Yugoslavs, fall more into the Dinaric racial classification than any other.121 Not as tall as the inhabitants of the mountain chain itself, they attain a national stature mean of about 168 cm., which varies somewhat regionally, reaching the figure of 170 cm. and over as one approaches Bosnia and Montenegro. The bodily build of the Serbs, as with most other southern Slavic peoples, is neither thick-set nor lean as a rule, but of moderate European proportions. A relative sitting height mean of 52.8 and a relative span of 102, emphasize the relative length of leg and shortness of arm. These are the proportions that one finds in southern Germany, rather than in northern Slavic countries.
The Serbs, for their stature, have, even more than the Slovenes, relatively small heads. The mean length is only 182 mm., the breadth 184.5 mm., while the auricular height mean is only 123 mm. These are smalla than the heads of most Alpines, and of most western Dinaric groups. The cephalic index mean of 85 is of fully Dinaric elevation. The faces are also small, but longer than those of Slovenes and Croats, with a mean menton-nasion height of 122 mm. The bizygomatic breadth is likewise restrictat the mean of 140 mm. or less is no greater than among Nordics and Neo-Danubians. The noses are moderately leptorrhine (N. I. = 63), and small. (53 mm. X 33 mm.). The nasal profiles are usually straight, with a 25 per cent convex minority, and about 12 per cent of concave. The nasal root is almost always high, and the tip is inclined horizontally in most cases, but downward more frequently than upward.

The Serbs are darker in pigmentation than either the Slovenes or the Croatians; 45 per cent of eyes are pure brown (Martin #2-4), as against 20 per cent which are pure or nearly pure light. Over 55 per cent have black or dark brown hair, while light browns and blonds come to less than 10 per cent. The beards are, of course, often lighter than the head hair. The skin is brunet-white or light-brown in at least a third of the total. It is unlikely that the prevalence of brunet pigmentation among the Serbs came from a Slavic source, and as we shall presently see, the high incidence of dark eyes can hardly be called Dinaric. By elimination we must suppose that the Serbs, in their sojourn in northern Macedonia. accumulated a strong brunet tendency.
Bosnia consists of the six provinces, Bihac, Banjaluka, Tuzla, Travnik, Sarajevo, and Mostar, which lie between western Croatia, Dalmatia, Montenegro, and the Slavonian plain. The southernmost province, Mostar, includes, the territory known as Herzegovina, which lies nearest to Montenegro. The Bosnians serve racially as an approach to the nucleus of Dinaric giantism in Montenegro.122 Tuzla, in the northeast, has a mean stature of 171 cm.; Bihac and Banjaluca, in the northwest, of 172 cm.; in Travnik and parts of Mostar it rises to 173 cm., in Sarajevo to 174 cm., and in Herzegovina to 175-176 cm., approaching the Montenegrin level. The rufosity of the Montenegrins, and their tendency to golden blondism, is not only extreme, but is particularly unusual for this part of Europe. It will be recalled that the Serbians, traditionally close relatives of the Montenegrins, are much darker haired, and that the Slavs in general, when blond, favor the ash-blond side of the scale, being almost entirely deficient in rufosity.
Twenty-five per cent of Old Montenegrins have pure dark eyes, and 10 per cent pure light ones. The pure darks are almost all mixtures between dark brown and light brown shades, while the pure lights are grayish blue. The mixed class, by far the largest, consists of 37 per cent green-brown, 20 per cent blue-brown, and 6 per cent gray-brown. The northern border tribes and BMa are lighter eyed than Old Montenegro, with only 20 per cent of pure darks. On the whole the Montenegrins have lighter eyes than the Serbs, and fully as light as the Slovenes and Croatians. But the Montenegrin of distinctive type, concentrated in Old Montenegro, is a very tall, large-bodied man, with a large, full-vaulted head abbreviated at the rear; his face is very broad, his jaw heavy, his brows overhanging, and his nose large and thick-tipped. It is this type which bears the rufosity in hair color, the freckling, and a tendency to light-mixed eye color. Montenegro is not, therefore, simply a Dinaric nucleus; it is a Borreby-like or Afalou-like outcropping within a Dinaric nucleus. We know little or nothing of the prehistoric archaeology of Montenegro. So far there is no evidence to prove or disprove the presence of an Upper Palaeolithic European racial strain in this region. Istočno-baltička rasa ili istočnievropidi (svetli varijetet „laponoida“, po Čekanovskom):
Ljudi srednjeg ili omanjeg rasta (1’64m), širokih ramena i snažno razvijenog kostura; krupni i mišićavi.
Vrat širok i kratak, ruke kratke i prsti srazmerno kratki. Lobanja velika, kratka i ćoškasta
(brahikefali). Donja vilica široka i glomazna. Lice široko, spljošteno, bez izrazitih crta. Brada natrag
povučena. Usta velika, uvo veliko i pritisnuto uz glavu. Nos debeo, spljošten i širok. Čelo je široko i
kvrgavo, obrve visoke. Oči sitne, malo ukoso položene. Koža otvorene boje, malo žućkasta. Kosa
vrlo svetla, žućkasta; brada slabo raste. Istočni-evropidi (baltidi) zastupljeni su velikim procentom
na širokoj severo-istočnoj niziji Evrope, od baltičkih pokrajina pa duboku u rusku stepu, a rašireni
su prilično daleko i na evropski zapad.

Stas visok i vitak (1,74m; po računu nekih antropologa od
1,73-1,78 Br. Maleš), kosti jake i mišići snažno razvijeni. Ruke i noge dugačke („longiliniska
konstitucija“). Vrat dugačak i snažan. Lobanja kratka (brahikefali i hiperbrahikefali), često na
potiljku ravna kao otsečena; teme visoko. Donja vilica izrazita, malo napred isturena i visoka. Lice
je usko i duguljasto, crte oštre. Čelo je visoko, poširoko, natrag zabačeno, sa jakim čeonim
ispupčenjima. Nos visokog korena, dugačak i istaknut, često kukast („orlovski profil“). Brada
široka i masivna. Usta široka, usne jake. Oči velike, tamno-smeđe. Duboko položene. Obrve
izbočene i jako svedene. Koža zagasita, smeđa. Kosa smeđa ili crna, jače debljine, katkad
kovrčasta.Brada gusta i jaka.
U novije doba antropolozi razlikuju nekoliko varijeteta dinaraca, naročito s obzirom na
pigmentaciju, lobanjski indeks i neka druga obeležja. Ove razlike zapažaju se i na Jugoslovenskoj
dinarskoj teritoriji. Naročito se ističu plavokosi dinarci koje je Škerlj opisao „Savide“, tj. slovenske
dinaride u područiju Save, a Br. Maleš ih našao u velikom broju „u srezovima studeničkom,
žičkom, moravičkom, u Starom Vlahu, a naročito u Hercegovini zapadno od Mostara“. Dinarci u
svom jezgru, zauzimaju dugački zapadno-balkanski krečnjački plato od Istre i Alpa sve do u Epir i
severnu Grčku, sa jačim ili slabijim ograncima u istočne gorovite i severne panonske predele
Jugoslavije. U manjem procentu oni se šire i daleko van toga područija u južne Alpe, u južnu
Nemačku i Austriju, pa i u severnu Italiju.
Armenidi :
Srednje visine, snažni ljudi, disponirani za debljine. Lobanja brahikefalna, od čela ide
strmo prema temenu tako da dugačak izbočen nos često dolazi gotovo u istu ravninu sa čeonom i
lobanjskom usponskom linijom. Nos je još veći i duži nego u dinarca, povijen kao da visi iz lica.
Lice je šire nego u dinarca, jagodične kosti niže položene u smeru ka bazi nosa, brada sa viličnom
košću neizrazita i natrag zavraćena, tako da se u profilu dobija utisak ptičije fiziognomije. Usne
debele, mesnate. Koža je zagasite boje, pigmentacija kose i očiju tamna.
Nordijci:
Stas visok i vitak (oko 1’75m). Ramena snažna i široka, noge dugačke.Lobanja dugačka
(izrazito dolihokeflna), sa strane spljoštena, potiljak izbočen. Lice duguljasto, crte oštre, vilice
izrazite. Usta su uska i „tvrdo“ formirana, uvo maleno. Čelo je usko, ravno i natrag zavraćeno:
obrve ravne. Nos uzak i istaknut, u korenu visok. Oči svetle, plave ili sive, srednje veličine.Koža
tanka i bleda, sa providnim venama. Kosa plava ili crvenkasta, tanka, glatka i mekana; brada bujna.
Varijante: „subnordiska rasa“ i „fälische Rasse“ (tzv. Hindenburgrasse) krupno su građene; glava
velika i okrugla (sistematsko mesto ovih rasa još je nejasno i sporno). Nordijici sa Subnordijcima i
drugim varijetetima, čine u raznim procentima većinu u zemljama oko Severnog (Germanskog) i
Baltičkog mora: u Švedskoj, i Norveškoj, Engleskoj, Severnoj niziskoj Nemačkoj, Danskoj,
Holandiji, Belgiji i severnoj Francuskoj.U ostalim delovima Evrope, naročito u srednjoj Evropi i na
Balkanu, nordijci su zastupljeni samo kao rasna manjina.
Mediteranci :
Maleni (oko 1’61m), U svemu sitnije strukture.Dolihokefali, uzanog lica i
zadebljanih usnica. Čelo okruglasto i onisko, obrve u visokom luku. Nos uzan i izrazit, ravan ili
povijen, kod nosnica zadebljao. Oči tamno- smeđe („crne“) i velike. Koža je tamnija, smeđe
pigmentirana i neprizorna. Kosa tamno - smeđa ili crna, jaka i katkad kovrdžasta. Mediteranci su
najjače zastupljeni u zemljama oko mediteranskog bazena, u Španiji, južnoj Francuskoj, južnoj
Italiji, južnoj Grčkoj i u jednom delu severne Afrike. Mediteranci su znatan element i u Škotskoj,
južnoj Engleskoj i Irskoj (zbog čega neki antropolozi i predlažu naziv „zapadna rasa“)
Alpiska rasa (ili tamni varijetet „laponoida“, po Čekanovskom) :
Onižeg stasa (1’63m), kratkih nogu. Ljudi krupni, teški, skloni debljini. Vrat obao, prsti na rukama kratki. Lobanja okrugla
(mezakefali - brahikefali).Vilična kost široka; brada obla, često „dvostruka“, nije istaknuta.Zubi
nisu sasvim zbijeni kao u ostalih evropskih rasa. Lice široko, okruglo, crte neizrazite; česte su
„kesice“ pod očima i naslage sala. Usta povelika. Uši otskaču od glave. Nos kratak, tup i spljošten.
Čelo je široko i oblo. Oči smeđe, malene i pliće smeštene nego u drugih evropskih rasa. Koža
žućkasta ili smeđa; nabori se rano javljaju i daju prevremeni izgled starenja. Kosa je tamna ili
sasvim crna, debela i kruta, brada retka. Alpinci su rasuti po celoj srednjoj Evropi, naročito u južnonemačkim
pokrajinama, a i van tih pokrajina. U Nemačkoj predstavljaju posle Nordijaca najjaču
rasnu grupu. U Češkoj čine (po Matiegki) relativnu većinu od 33%.
Istočno-baltička rasa ili istočnievropidi (svetli varijetet „laponoida“, po Čekanovskom):
Ljudi srednjeg ili omanjeg rasta (1’64m), širokih ramena i snažno razvijenog kostura; krupni i mišićavi.
Vrat širok i kratak, ruke kratke i prsti srazmerno kratki. Lobanja velika, kratka i ćoškasta
(brahikefali). Donja vilica široka i glomazna. Lice široko, spljošteno, bez izrazitih crta. Brada natrag
povučena. Usta velika, uvo veliko i pritisnuto uz glavu. Nos debeo, spljošten i širok. Čelo je široko i
kvrgavo, obrve visoke. Oči sitne, malo ukoso položene. Koža otvorene boje, malo žućkasta. Kosa
vrlo svetla, žućkasta; brada slabo raste. Istočni-evropidi (baltidi) zastupljeni su velikim procentom
na širokoj severo-istočnoj niziji Evrope, od baltičkih pokrajina pa duboku u rusku stepu, a rašireni
su prilično daleko i na evropski zapad.
Dinarci (ranije zvana „Jadranska rasa“) :

Колико сам схватио,Срби нису тамни због тога што су већином Динарци,већ зато што су дужи временски прериод (за време ширења државе ка југу) провели у Македонији и јужним земљама,па су се тамо измешали са локалним становништвом?
To je bila pretpostavka autora u vreme kada je knjiga pisana (a bilo je ot dosta davno). Tada se nije znalo za haplogrupe i slicne stvari. Srbi i Bugari jesu tamniji od ostalih Slovena a to znaci da je na teritorijama koje su oni zauzeli bilo dosta doslovenskog stanovnistva.
Mada, da se razumemo, nosioci haplogrupe I2 nisu toliko skloni prema blondinizmu posto su nosioci te haplogrupe najcesce tamno smedji i smedji..

Иначе,сви ми воде порекло из неких динарских крајева,а ја немам примесе Динарца.

Kavkasci se takodje smatraju "dinarcima" u smislu da su bili podlozni procesu "dinarizacije" koji ljudima daje izrazenije i ne uvek pravilne crte lica. Uglavnom je fenomen vezan za gostake sto Dzugasvilijevi Gruzini i jesu.

Nasao sam jedan zanimljiv seminarski rad pa bi bilo dobro da ga malo proanaiziramo:
Tema : Društveno istorijski okviri srednjeg veka
U 9 v. se značajno menja položaj Slovena na Balkanu. Pored pojave Madjara drugi momenat je nagli polet Bugarske koja izrasta u veliko carstvo i postaje suparnik Vizantije. Dolazi do Vizantijsko-Bugarskih ratova koji su imali uticaja na položaj i razvoj ostalih Slovena. To tangira Srbe koji su bili najbliži susedi Simeunove Bugarske. Izvan domašaja Bugarske ostale su primorske kneževine. One su više dosle u vezu sa Srbijom čak sta više duže i kraće su priznavale i vlast Srbije. Pred kraj 10 v. Bugarska je potčinjena (donedavno najveći protivnik Vizantijskog carstva). Vizantijski garnizoni su opet bili na obalama Save i Dunava (starog Sirmijuma) pa sve do ušća u Crno more. Pocetkom 12 v. završava se značajna faza u političkom razvoju Slovena koji su se našli na Balkanskom poluostrvu. Samostalni život južnih slovenskih država došao je u ozbiljnu krizu. Dolazi do produbljivanja razlika izmedju južnih slovenskih zajednica a to vodi ka uobličavanju naroda i prostora koji su se našli u okvirima i granicama ustaljenih u periodu 11-13 v.
1204. krstaši osvajaju Carigrad i ruše Vizantijsko carstvo. Politička karta Balkanskog poluostrva posle ovog dogadjaja postala je složena. Na ruševinama Vizantije stvorene su Latinske krstaške drzave (Carigradsko carstvo, Solunska kraljevina). Na nasem tlu uspon srednjevekovnih država prekinut je pojavom Turaka (narod poreklom iz Turanskih stepa). Početak turskog nadiranja u Evropu vezuje se za 1352.godinu kada su prešli Bosfor i Dardanele, i krenuli dublje u Balkan (na turskom = gudura, planina). Posle bitke sa Turcima na Kosovu polju, Srbija je postala vazalna drzava. Turci dalje osvajaju, tako da je 1393. zauzeta i Bugarska. Posle skoro čitavog stoleca borbi, Srbija je 1459. potpuno pod turskom vlašću. 1463. zauzeta je Bosna, 1482. Hercegovina a 1499. i Zeta, 1491. hrvatska konjica. Hrvati su dobili zaštitu od Habzburgovaca koja i danas traje. Padom južnoslovenskih država pod tursku vlast, bilo je jasno da ce Turci ići dalje i na Ugarsku. 1521. oni su osvojili Mačvu sa Beogradom. 1526. bitka na Mohačkom polju i Turci su čak osvojili i Budim.
Izmedju 16-18 v. balkanski južnoslovenski narodi su se našli pod vlašću dve monarhije :
Centralni i istocni delovi bili su pod vlašću Osmanlijske a zapadni Habzburske monarhije. Ratovi u 17. i 18.v. su smanjili njen prostor na Balkanu. Osmanlijsko carstvo počelo je da doživljava unutrašnje krize. To je dovelo do toga da se postavi istočno pitanje, a to je pitanje opstanka Osmanlijskog carstva na Balkanskom poluostrvu. To Osmanlijsko širenje a sa druge strane uzmicanje dovelo je na Balkanskom tlu do značajnih demografskih promena. To se odnosi na srpski narod. On je naselio velike prostore u južnoj Ugarskoj, u Slavoniji, zapadnoj Bosni, Hrvatskoj i Dalmaciji. Ta su kretanja i srpskih i drugih manjih naroda dovela do iscepkanosti i izukrštanosti etničkog sadržaja i političkih granica. To možemo da rekonstruišemo na osnovu dijalekta i malim delom na osnovu antropoloških tragova.
Krajem 18 v. je počeo proces stvaranja balkanskih nacija i modernih država. On je bio uslovljen razvojem gradova i buržoazije u njima, raspadanjem feudalnih odnosa i agrarnim reformama. Odvijao se u senci velikih evropskih ratova i interesa velikih sila za Balkan.
