Chij' je um jednak , a snaga data veca
Od istih kao on. Zbogom srecna polja
Gde vechna radost traje ; uzhasi , zdravo,
Zdravo pakleni svete , a ti Tartaru ,
Primi gazdu novog : jednog ko nosi
Duh nepromenljiv vremenom i mestom.
Mis'o je sama sebi gospodar , sama
Stvara od pakla nebo , od neba pak'o.

Izgubljeni Raj , pevanje prvo , stih 248.-255.
Dzon Milton

Taj%20Mahal.jpg

The Taj Mahal (pronounced /tɑdʒ məˈhɑl/; Hindi: ताज महल; Persian/Urdu: تاج محل) is a mausoleum located in Agra, India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
The Taj Mahal (also "the Taj") is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was cited as "the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage."
While the white domed marble mausoleum is its most familiar component, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. Building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen. The construction of the Taj Mahal was entrusted to a board of architects under imperial supervision including Abd ul-Karim Ma'mur Khan, Makramat Khan, and the Persian Ustad Ahmad Lahauri, although Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer.

Fertile earth Pallas who procreates everything
Rock-bound spring that fed the twin brothers with nectar
This young bul that he carried on his shoulders
According to his ways - and I have received it
I have borne on my shoulders the greatest things of the gods
Sweet are the livers of the birds [.....]
Reborn and created by sweet things
You must conduct the right through clouded times - together
And here, as the first [.....] is exactly on his corpse
And you say thus after having shed the eternal blood
- Accept our holy Father
- Accept the incense-burning lions
Through whom we offer the incense
Through whom we ourselves are consumed

And hail to the lions
For many and new years
Hail to the lions
For many and new years
Hail to the lions!

Mithras, god of the Morning - our trumpets waken the world
Rome is above the nations, but Thou art over all

Now as the names are answered and the guards are marched away
Mithras, also a soldier, give us strength for the day!

Mithras, god of the Noontide - the ether swims in the heat
Our helmets scorch our foreheads, our sandals burn our feet
Now in the ungirt hour, now as we blink and drowse
Mithras, also a soldier, keep us true to our vows!

Mithras, Lord of Ages, below You we march!
Invincible Sun, the flame of Life, You dwell within our hearts

Mithras, god of the Sunset - low on the western main
Thou descending immortal, immortal to rise again
Now as the watch has ended, now as the wine is drawn
Mithras, also a soldier, keep us pure till the dawn!

Mithras, lord of the Midnight - here where the great bull dies
Look at Thy children in darkness, oh take our sacrifice
Many roads Thou hast fashioned, all of them lead to the light
Mithras, also a soldier, teach us to die aright!

Mithras, Lord of Ages, below You we march!
Invincible Sun, the flame of Life, You dwell within our hearts

Mithras, Lord of Ages, below You we march!
Unconquerable Sun, the flame of Life, You dwell within our hearts

Hymn of the 30th Legion: _circa_ A.D. 350.)

Mithras, God of the Morning, our trumpets waken the Wall!
'Rome is above the Nations, but Thou art over all!'
Now as the names are answered and the guards are marched away,
Mithras, also a soldier, give us strength for the day!

Mithras, God of the Noontide, the heather swims in the heat.
Our helmets scorch our foreheads, our sandals burn our feet.
Now in the ungirt hour--now ere we blink and drowse,
Mithras, also a soldier, keep us true to our vows!

Mithras, God of the Sunset, low on the Western main--
Thou descending immortal, immortal to rise again!
Now when the watch is ended, now when the wine is drawn,
Mithras, also a soldier, keep us pure till the dawn!

Mithras, God of the Midnight, here where the great bull dies,
Look on thy children in darkness. Oh take our sacrifice!
Many roads thou hast fashioned--all of them lead to the Light:
Mithras, also a soldier, teach us to die aright!
