As figurehead and mostly loved project of v-classics, every detail was considered in rebuilding the Red Pig. In close collaboration with Mr.Heyer and AMG, countless photographs and original documents were previously analyzed to achieve a perfect optical replica of the original racing car - exterior and interior. Even details like the copy of a sponsor tag being glued slightly aslope, just like on the original, were considered.
Due to security in racingmode chassis and brakes were designed in contemporary state of art and with high level contemporary material.
Nevertheless these parts were obstructed in a way which still keeps the original look remaining.
We are very proud that our replica of the Mercedes Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG got recorded enthusiastically by press as well as by confirmed racing fans. Mr. Heyer confirmed an extraordinary similarity of v-classics Red Pig to the lost original racing car. For this reason we can offer you, as a little bonus, racing numbers signed by Mr. Heyer himself.
In our references you find the all the details concerning the complete restoration and modification process from the base of a Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 (year of construction 1970) to the perfect optical replica of the Red Pig.

Postovanje ljubiteljima mercedesa. Ne znam da li je neko do sada pokrenuo ovo pitanje, izvinjavam se ako se ponavljam...
Zanima me vase misljenje o varijanti da se kupi model E200, 124, 2.0 benzinac, '91-'95.god (recimo da ne znamo koliko je presao, ali da je u solidnom stanju) i da se ulozi u njega...koliko je to pametna investicija, obzirom da mi kola trebaju godisnje 10.000 - 15.000 km?
I koliko bi se (okvirno) ulozilo u takav auto?

Zavisi kako je auto cuvano od predhodnih vlasnika,on u sustini moze da izdrzi bez problema i 400000km ako su mu menjani ulje i filter u motoru i menjacu.

Verujem da su ti modeli sa daleko vecom kilometrazom...sto bi rekao neko - ta kola nisu koriscenja za ukras, prelazilo je to ogromne razdaljine. Ali me je privukla cinjenica da nemaju mnogo elektronike, te da su zahvalnija za sredjivanje...

Ja sam imao 124 sa 260000km i nikakvih problema nisam imao,u mom autu je bio 3.0l benzinac sa 188ks.Auto je jako zahvalan jer i ako se nesto pokvari u Srbiji imas delova gde hoces da nadjes i skoro svi automehanicari se razumeju u taj model.
 
Ja sam imao 124 sa 260000km i nikakvih problema nisam imao,u mom autu je bio 3.0l benzinac sa 188ks.Auto je jako zahvalan jer i ako se nesto pokvari u Srbiji imas delova gde hoces da nadjes i skoro svi automehanicari se razumeju u taj model.
Kad bi se nasao model, pa cak i do 300.000km (ali pravih), i sa pouzdanim odlascima u servis...al nasim ljudima ne mozes verovati.
