Quintus Curtius Rufus mentioned an interesting piece of information.
He wrote that Philotas, a Macedonian who was a naturalised Hellene, teased his fellow Macedonians by calling them "Phrygians or Paphlagonians".
Even earlier than this, Herodotus wrote that Phrygians and Paphlagonians wore very similar clothes. The similarity between the apparel of the Phrygians and Paphlagonians was recorded by Herodotus as follows: "The dress of the Phrygians closely resembled the Paphlagonian, only in a very few points differing from it".
The "Byzantine" historian and writer Nicephorus Gregoras during his visit to the town of Strumica in 1326, recorded that there he heard a large number of Macedonian folk songs. He affirms that, although he did not understand the language of the local population, the folk songs from Strumica definitely resembled - the Phrygian folk songs ("Correspondance" Paris, 1927, p. 30).

I ne samo da nema nikakve naučne reference o tom natpisu, nego do današnjeg dana, niko nikada to više nije pominjao, uključiv i samog Dragana Jacanovića.
Moguće je da su falsifikati nastali još oko 2002. godine, odnosno nedugo pre otkrića i sasvim je moguće da je Života Milanović jedan od zaverenika, ako ne i glavom i bradom autor nekih od figurica koje su otkrivene. U Stojićevu moguću umešanost u falsifikovanju ovih predmeta ne bih ulazio, ali ono što je činjenica jeste da je falsifikator (ko god da je u stvarnosti) naneo srpskoj arheologiji i Srbiji generalno nepopravljivu štetu. S jedne strane, narušen je ugled što znači da će nam stranci manje verovati kada to bude stvarno potrebno i kada se otkrije nešto zaista gotovo neverovatno (biće Opet ludi Srbi falsifikuju nešto) pa neće biti ni interesa da se novac uloži, a ovakav tip istraživanja strašno je skup. Sa druge, kako Kraus za ključuje (gore podebljano), s obzirom da se radi o autentičnom neolitskom arheološkom lokalitetu, falsifikatori su naneli strašnu štetu jer sada zbog toga što se dogodilo bačena je stigma čak i na figure koje bi trebalo da su autentične.
