Your application for permanent residence in Canada has reached the final stage of processing. You must submit two updated pictures of yourself, your spouse and children, instructions can be found at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3901e.pdf together with your passport and the passport(s) of all accompanying dependent(s) to the visa office in Vienna (see address below) within 30 days of the date of this letter in order to finalize your application.

1. Change in Family Composition or Mailing Address
You must notify this office in writing if there are or will be changes in your life circumstances before using your visas, such as:
· Family status (e.g. marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation, birth, adoption, death of the sponsor, principal applicant or any accompanying family member, including grandchildren born to dependent children); or
· You or any of your family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence; or
· Changes to mailing address/e-mail address/contact information.
Failure to inform CIC of any of these changes may delay processing, may result in the cancellation of your immigrant visas and may render you and your family members inadmissible to Canada. Failure to inform CIC of dependent family members during your application processing will permanently exclude them from later sponsorship in the Family Class.
2. Visa Validity
The issuance of your immigrant visa and of your Confirmation of Permanent Residence is time sensitive so it is important for you to act quickly upon receipt of this letter. Please note that the validity of your immigrant visa and Confirmation of Permanent Residence is limited by the validity of your medical results or the validity of your passport (or of one of your accompanying), whichever is shortest.
Once you receive your Confirmation of Permanent Resident document(s), please check the information on it to make sure it is correct. If there are any errors, such as incorrect spelling of name or incorrect date of birth, please inform this office immediately. Your name will appear in the same format as it appears in your passport.
You must travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry before they expire. The validity of the Confirmation of Permanent Resident documents cannot be extended. If you fail to enter Canada before this date and still wish to immigrate to Canada, you must reapply by submitting a new application and paying new processing fees. All such applications will be assessed according to the immigration laws in force at the time of receipt of the application. There is no guarantee a future application will be successful.
3. Pay your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), if applicable
If you have not already done so, you must immediately pay your RPRF for you and your accompanying spouse or common-law partner, if applicable.

4. Passport and Other Requirements
4.1. Submitting your passport(s) to the Canadian Embassy in Vienna, Austria.
· Submit your original passport and the original passport of your accompanying spouse and dependent children (if applicable) at the same time.
· All passports must be valid for a minimum of six months and must have at least two blank visa pages.
· Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.

c. Private courier service.
If you choose this option, you must supply a pre-paid commercial courier coupon. Ensure that all the required information is completed on the pre-paid commercial courier coupon, including:
- your full mailing address in the "Deliver To" field
- the address of the Canadian Embassy in Vienna in the “Return Address” field (see address above)
- your account details
Once you have arranged the pre-paid pick-up with the commercial courier service, the commercial courier company must contact our section by e-mail
(vienn-visa@international.gc.ca) in order to organize the pick-up of your envelope.
4.2. Submitting your passport(s) in Canada to the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa (CPC-O)
If you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (“CPC-O”). Please inform our office and follow these additional procedures:
· Add two (2) recent photographs of yourself, your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children (if applicable).
Follow the instructions provided in the section How to Complete the Forms of the application guide and in Appendix A: Photo Specifications. The application guides may be found on the CIC website at

· On a separate piece of paper, please provide the following information for you and your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children (if applicable):
· Height, Eye Colour.
You are required to send your passport(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address.

· Make a note of tracking numbers for each envelope.
· Enclose both envelopes along with your passport and a copy of this letter.

5. The Return of your Passport(s)
Your immigration documentation and your passport(s) will be mailed out to you within 7 days from the date that the visa office receives your passport(s) via the same transmission method you selected.
The documentation and passport(s) will be returned to the mailing address we have in our records, unless instructed otherwise.
