Evo i jednog rada iz 2009
http://www.nature.com/ejhg/journal/v17/n6/full/ejhg2008249a.html (učestvovao i legendarni Primorac)
Evo šta je dobijeno u ovom radu;
http://www.nature.com/ejhg/journal/v17/n6/fig_tab/ejhg2008249t1.html#figure-title
Haplogroup (N) Age of microsatellite variation a plusminusSE b (ky) Mean variance
I-M423 (219)................... 7.8plusminus2.3....................................................... 0.198
I-P37*-DYS388-15 (28)...4.0plusminus1.7 ........................................................0.107
"The “Walsh Method” returns a probability distribution for the TMRCA, and that distribution has been simplified in
the table to just a central date with an error in years (corresponding roughly to one standard deviation). Model
assumptions are critical to the computed date of the MRCA. The “Variance Method” gives much younger dates
I evo rezultata

questions and answers about I-P37.2
Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2012 13:06:05 -0500
Yesterday I sent the message below to the FTDNA I2a (I-P37.2) Project. Most of this information has been previously announced on this list. I will also be posting some questions I received and my answers. Feel free to add your own questions or supply different answers.--Bernie

Dear I2a Project members:
We are happy to announce that all known I2a men can be placed in one of
these five subgroups:
I2a1 (also called I-M26, nicknamed "Sardinian")
I2a2 (also called I-M423, includes "Dinaric", "Disles" and "Isles")
I2a3 (now called I-L1286, includes "Alpine" group, and the I-L233 groups
"Western" and "Western Isles")
I2a4 (also called I-L880, nicknamed "**Northern France**")
I2a5 (also called I-L1294, nicknamed "****France****")
Note: the haplogroup tree at
http://www.isogg.org/tree/ISOGG_HapgrpI.html uses slightly different labels for these groups (for example, I-M423 is called I2a1b instead of I2a2). In the near future, Family Tree DNA may change the names of its haplogroups, or stop using them altogether and just use names like I-M423).
We have updated our I2a Project results page to show these new discoveries:
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/I2aHapGroup,I2aHapGroup/default.aspx?section=ycolorized
To see all of our results, you will need to click on page 2 of results, or change the Page Size box to 1000.
Thanks to all of our members who have done tests, and thanks to those of you who donated to our General Fund. Donations can be made by check or credit card at the following link:

For those who are interested, there is more information about the new discoveries below. Please let us know if you have questions, and thanks for your membership in the I2a Project.

volunteer administrator, I2a Project, with Bill Morrow and haplogroup I expert Ken Nordtvedt
Details about the new discoveries:
In 2006, Lewis Banks started a project for I-M26 (now called I2a1). At that point, I-M26 nicknamed "Sardinian" was the only major subgroup known.
In 2007/2008, scientists discovered another major group, I-M423 (now called I2a2) which includes the "Dinaric", "Disles", and "Isles" subgroups.
In October 2008, Bill Morrow started a new I2a Project, which included I2a1 (I-M26), I2a2 (I-M423), and also some people who belonged to I2a but who were called I2a* because they tested M26- and M423-. Haplogroup I expert Ken Nordtvedt called some of these I2a* people "Western" (these had DYS388=15) and Ken called some others "France" (these had DYS388=9).
In November 2009, a Walk Through The Y (WTY) test was completed for Bill Morrow, a member of I2a* "Western". The WTY discovered a new SNP called L233. Almost all I2a people with DYS388=15 tested L233+ and these people were placed in the new I2a3 group. But there were approximately 5 families with DYS388=15 who tested L233-, these people were placed in a new I2a*
"Alpine" group because they had ancestry from places like southwest ** Germany**, far northeastern **Italy**, and ****Switzerland****. The I2a*-Alpine group had slightly different 67 marker results from the I2a3 Western group, but it was clear that the Alpine and Western groups were closely related.
In 2011, two new families joined the I2a Project. One was French-Canadian with paternal ancestors from **Normandy**, and the other had paternal ancestors from ****Luxembourg****. The families showed some similarities at 67 markers, but were very distantly related to each other, their common ancestor lived thousands of years ago. By a lucky accident, the L880 SNP was discovered, and so far these two families are the only known L880+ people. They belong to the I2a4 (I-L880) group, nicknamed "**Northern France**".
In May 2012, most people in I2a belonged to I2a1, I2a2, I2a3, or I2a4 but there were still two groups of people who were I2a* with no known subgroup: the people with DYS388=9 nicknamed "I2a*-****France****" and the people with DYS388=15 and who tested L233- (the "I2a*-Alpine" group). Thanks to donations from our members, two new WTY tests were begun to find SNPs specific to each of these groups.
In August 2012, a WTY was completed which discovered the L1286 and L1287 SNPs. Both the I2a*-"Alpine" people and the I2a3-"Western" people tested L1286+ and L1287+. This means that the definition of the I2a3 group was changed: I2a3 (I-L1286) includes Alpine, Western, and Western-Isles and I2a3a (I-L233) includes only Western and Western Isles
In September 2012, a WTY was completed which discovered the L1294, L1297 and L1298 SNPs. All the "****France****" group (with DYS388=9) has tested positive for these SNPs, so we have a new subgroup: I2a5 (I-L1294) nicknamed "****France****".
As of now, all known I2a men can be placed in one of these 5 groups. Our next task is to figure out how these five groups are related to each other, and to continue to find more subgroups of each of the 5 groups.
