Ovo su specifikacije koje Sony ima za podržane USB stikove.
Requirements for USB Extended Storage
Speed: Must support SuperSpeed USB (at least 5 Gbps).
Capacity: Must have a minimum capacity of 250 GB and a maximum of 8 TB.
Connection: The drive must be connected directly to the console, not through a USB hub.
Compatibility: Not all SuperSpeed USB drives are guaranteed to work with the PS5 console.
Special Cases
PS VR2: The PS VR2 headset needs to be connected to the rear USB Type-A ports.
PS4 Games: Can be played directly from a compatible external USB drive.
PS5 Games: Must be stored on the internal SSD, but can be transferred from a USB drive for storage and reinstallation, though they cannot be played directly from the USB drive.
PS5-specific USB requirements include
a minimum 250 GB capacity and compatibility with SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0/3.1/3.2) or faster for extended storage. For the console's ports, the newer CFI-2000 model group (PS5 Slim) has a USB Type-C port (SuperSpeed 10Gbps) and a USB Type-A port (Hi-Speed USB) on the front, plus two rear USB Type-A ports (SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps). Devices like the PS VR2 headset must be connected to the rear USB Type-A ports.
