Uh kako dobar podatak.....
Bodibilderi ovaj pojam zapamtite -
MYOSTATIN
Evo sta sam saznao:
Miostatin vrsi inhibiciju (sprecavanje) misicnog rasta i diferencijacije
Kako proces diferencijacije odmiče i ćelija se približava završnom, adultnom obliku ona gubi mnoge opšte osobine među kojima i sposobnost deobe i postaje usko specijalizovana.)

Myo-T12
Myo-T12 is a myostatin modulator clinically validated to reduce average serum myostatin levels in only 12 to 18 hours with just a single serving.*
Myostatin is a protein produced by a specific gene sequence in the DNA of nearly every vertebrate animal. Controlling myostatin is the holy grail of extreme muscle growth.
MYO-T12 was developed to help men gain muscle. It is not recommended for women.
What is myostatin and why is it so important for muscle growth?
Myostatin is a protein produced by a specific gene sequence in the DNA of nearly every vertebrate animal. Controlling myostatin is the holy grail of extreme muscle growth.
Why would your body need myostatin?
It has been theorized that this vestigial control over muscle gains was needed to prevent an organism from being overly muscled and thus fall more easily to predation either because they would have been too bulky to speed away or because they just looked more delicious. So through Darwinian selection, having little or no myostatin has become exceedingly rare among animals and humans. Nevertheless those rare survivors live normal, happy, albeit well-muscled lives. As examples, the Belgian Blue bull and the Piedmontese breeds are born without the gene to produce myostatin. From a health standpoint, these animals are not at all adversely affected by the absence of myostatin.
Since we don't have much use for myostatin, is it dangerous to have none?
So far it seems that health is not affected by naturally having little or no myostatin. For example several years ago a little German boy was discovered to lack the gene for producing myostatin. It was reported in the New England Journal of Medicine and scientists have been following him for years. Thus far he is normal and healthy in every way, except for the fact that he is exceedingly well-muscled and super strong. Other athletes, like professional bodybuilder Flex Wheeler have been identified as having a dysfunctional gene for myostatin.
Are the pharmaceutical companies working on drugs to inhibit myostatin?
Yes. Drug companies are pushing hard to invent some kind of synthetic molecule they can patent. In particular the industry is hard at work developing vaccines to knock out natural production of myostatin. MYO-029 was a recombinant antibody that bound and neutralized the body's myostatin. In other words, it was an immunologic drug that caused an unnatural antibody attack on the body's own myostatin. Even at that extreme, preliminary published safety data seemed to support its relatively safe use. But research on the drug was mysteriously abandoned by Wyeth. Without being privy to the unpublished data, I can just say as a medical doctor that I don't like the idea of the vaccines because they likely would permanently eliminate all myostatin from the body in people that are otherwise used to having some. So this vaccine approach is not without concern and thus ultimate use of these types of drugs appear relatively far away and will likely be very restricted.
