Did you watched the OWGP first round? Did someone's impress you? Who's the favorite to win the GP?

Seriously, nobody's impressed me. The best ones won the matches, like MINOTAURO did. No big deal. But I didn't watch the fights, just listened the comments. Im my opinion, MINOTAURO and SILVA are the favorites.

What about the beef with Coleman? We'll gonna have a rematch?

Of course. I want to show to the whole world that I'm able to beat him. It's in Pride hands now. COLEMAN is an awesome athlete and I would love to have a rematch! But it's in Pride hands now...

And about your recover? It's true that your doctors was impressed about how fast you recovered?

Yes, it is. I would like to congratulate all of them (* he talk a big list with the name of his doctors, and the hospital) I already start to swimming and running. I was crazy, you know, freeze at home doing nothing -- I was hungry to fight! Today I did some muay-thai, some shadow boxing and kicks, etc.

Your fans should expect your come back just after June?

I won't be able to fight before that. I think I will be able to fight in september. So, I won't be able to help SILVA this time, but when I'm fine, I will make all I can in order to grant him the OWGP belt.

You're the LHWGP champ and your bro will be in the Bushido GP. What do you say to him (hints)? Who's the stronger fighters in this Bushido GP?

I say to him that despite his loss to Paulo Filho, he still is the favorite on his category. If he work hard, he have the right tools to win the belt. He have to work his mental condition, too. But answering your question, nowadays every fighter in a hard time, we must to be focusing the whole time. The best adversaries are Paulo Filho, Bustamente and Henderson.

I would like to thank all the fans that were supporting me for this fight against Matt Hughes. I want to thank 15,000 plus fans that showed up at the Staple Center and really made me feel welcome and hundreeds of thoughsands that purchased the PPV. I am very disapointed in the outcome of the fight. I did not train for a fight like that and want to appologize to the fans who expected more. Matt Hughes is a great champion and he was the better man that night, I give him all the credit. He was very humble in his victory and that shows a true champion.
I am going to take a little time off from training and spend with the family. BUT I WILL BE BACK TO FIGHTHTING BEFORE THEN END OF THE YEAR.

The World Fighting Alliance, scheduled for July 22 in Los Angeles and aired live on Pay-Per-View, added what could be its biggest fight on Wednesday with the announcement that former UFC heavyweight champion Bas Rutten (Pictures) will return to fighting after a seven-year absence to face Kimo Leopoldo (Pictures).

“I’ve managed to stay pretty close to 'fighting shape' amidst my involvement with the IFL and my broadcasting work," Rutten stated in a WFA press release, "and I’m confident that my skills will be sharp as ever when I face Kimo on July 22nd.”

After returning from a four-year hiatus in 2002, the tattooed Kimo has gone 3-2 in the WFA, UFC, Rumble on the Rock and PRIDE.

“I’ve helped this sport come from bare knuckles, no rules and no excuses to where it is today, and for this man to select me specifically as the target for his comeback is an insult to everything I’ve accomplished,” said Kimo in the release. “This will be the shortest comeback of all time, and Bas will regret the day he chose me for his return to the cage.”

Mislim da ce biti najkraci 'comeback' u istoriji MMA ali na taj nacin sto ce ga Bass demolirati,iako ga stizu godine cini mi se da je jos uvek u izvrsnoj formi a i Kimo nije neki borac da bi predstavljao problem jednom Bass Rutenu,niti je mlad niti je nesto posebno dobar.Nadam se da ce bar biti nesto atraktivno.
 
To sa parama stoji...mislim da je posle ovih godina,i nevolja u poslednje vreme sa PRIDEom malo izgubio na poularnosti i mislim da ovom borbom hoce da ojaca staru slavu i verovatno na taj nacin dodje do nekih para...ipak mislim da je on ovo podobno isplanirao i da Kimo nije previse za njega.
 
Znam samo da su mu iz K1 Heroes ponudili 3 000 000 dolara da se bori sa Sakurabom,na ponekim forumima su se javili neki likovi koji treniraju kod Ricksona i potvrdili sve kao Rickson je vec u treningu...mec bi trebao da se odrzi u krajem godine u oktobru ili za NEW YEAR'S EWE SHOW,ali to su sve nezvanicne informacije,medjutim sada se pojavljuju dojave da ce Sakuraba raditi mozda sa M.Manhofom u oktobru...Ali PONAVLJAM jos uvek sve nezvanicno.Mislim da ce on ipak ostati u legendi...

Nekoliko sedmica prije nego sto je zvanicno potvrdjen njegov povratak, citao sam jedan njegov intervju na mmaweekly i evo sta je odgovorio na pitanje o povratku:

When asked about the recent rumors that he’s coming back, Bas responded, "I think I’m interested, but I’m just training. I have so many injuries. I started training with those guys, and my injuries started going away. Right away, everything started to blow up. Everybody starts making assumptions and everything, but I’m just going to wait and see what happens with my body. I’m training for what, three weeks? I haven’t trained in three years, and haven’t fought in seven. I’m just working my body, just like this morning, I trained. From there, I’m just going to see."
Rutten continued, "It’s been a long time, but you know what? I sparred the first day... it was a terrible sparring session. The second and third day, I started dropping people with liver shots all over the place, so it came back so fast. The only thing, I’ve got to start rolling now. It will be my first roll workout... the rest of it is just power training, strengthening my arms and everything, so I’ll be in good shape for it."

Najinteresantnije je to sto kaze da nije trenirao 3 godine. Znajuci koliko je zaposlen bio prethodnih godina, ne bi me cudilo da je to istina. Nadam se da nece uci nepripremljen u ring, Bas je lik koga svi vole.

Just like the rst of the Jiu-Jitsu comunity in Brazil, Paulo Filho got really upset about Royce´s lost to american wrestler Matt Hughes. 'Royce is a living legend of Vale-Tudo. Everybody who fights today has to admire him. There can be fighters as brave as him, but never braver than him', said Filho packing his bags to go to Japan tuesday to fight the first phase of Pride Bushido tournament. Filho saw the fight in the internet site youtube.com and comented Hughes perfect combat for us. 'Royce is an amazing and very technical fighter but He was out of the octagon for a long time, while Hughes has been fighting quite often. He was always one movement ahead of Royce and did a perfect fight. I got also impressed that Matt fought Jiu-Jitsu against Royce. Pass the guard, mounted, got the back and aplyed an armlock (americana) that I don´t know Royce could escape', said a impressed Filho pointing Hughes as current no1 in the world in 76kg.

Asked about the possibilitty of Matt Hughes in 83kg category in a tournament like Pride Bushido, Filho said: 'I have no doubt that Hughes has great possibilities against anyone in this tournament, but it wouldn´t be so easy like in 76kg category because He would have to face me to get the title', challenged Filho, who guaranteed it would have been a great pleasure for him to defend Jiu-Jitsu. 'Anyone who beat a Jiu-Jitsu representative I´m ready to face. I respect Hughes a lot and it would be a pleasure for me to face him and avenge Royce', said Filho.

Pozdrav svima, hvala vam na korisnim informacijama, ja nisam previsu upoznat sa MMA "sportom". Dosta sam iz ove teme naucio. Ono sto je mene interesovalo, a nisam uspeo da nadjem, jeste da li znate koliko su ti borci placeni. Pod ovim mislim na sve organizacije, UFC, PRIDE itd. Znam da ovde ne moze da se napise za svakog borca, ali mislim na orijentacione cifre, ili jos bolje, napisite najvece plate, najmanje i neke u srednje, cisto da bi se stekao utisak koliko su ti ljudi placeni.
 
e pa sad to bi svi voleli da znaju,postoje neke zvanicne informacije...Otprilike u PRIDEu je veca lova nego u UFC,tamo se pobedniku GP daje valjda nekih 200 000e(toliko je valjda dobio Shogun) sa tim sto se svaka borba placa dodatno u zavisnosti od ugovora,npr Fedor je za odbranu tiltule protiv Mirka dobio 800 000 dolara,i da Mirko jos uvek drzi titulu borca sa najboljim ugovorom,ali je tamo mnogo veca zarada od marketinga jer Japanci su ludi za Pride i K1 borcima dok u Americi to nije slucaj,sto se tice UFCa tamo dobro zaradjuju samo velike zverke tipa Lidell,Ortiz,Coture,GSP, Hughes,BJ Penn...npr Ortiz i Lidell koji su najvece zvezde UFCa ,dobijaju 150 000 - 220 000 dolara u zavisnosti od kvaliteta meca dok ostali navedeni u ranijoj recenici uz Tima S. i A Arlovskog dobijaju znatno manje ,cifre do 100 000 dolara.Prica se da je Royce Gracie za mec protiv Hughesa dobio milion ali on je tamo legenda.
Sve u svemu nije bas kao u fudbalu ali nije ni toliko lose,naravno kao sto sam rekao u Japanu su borci nacionalne zvezde,tamo oni zaradjuju i zive kao kraljevi...dok u Americi u mnogim drzavama je MMA stvar undergrounda,stvar protiv koje se bore kojekakve organizacije...
Pa ti vidi...hehehehe
 
To bi mozda bolje mogao Stepski vuk da zna,mogu da ti kazem da u kikboksu para nema...otprilike u nekim mecevima za tituku u toj Wako federaciji dobijaju se tako neke cifre,npr Strugar je dobio 7000e valjda za odbranu titule pre neki dan dok je Draza inkasirao nekih 5000e,a i to su nezvanicne informacije ,sto se tice ultimate boraca to vec ne znam...a to je ubedljivo najplaceniji kikboks mec ikada u WAKO federaciji,jer tamo je Strugar najbolji borac vec godinama...
