Joey Zasa is a fictional character appearing in The Godfather Part III. He was portrayed by Joe Mantegna. He is based on a mix of three real Mafia members: Joseph Colombo, Joe Gallo and John Gotti.

Following the death of Frank Pentangeli (Michael V. Gazzo) in The Godfather Part II, Zasa is awarded all the Corleone family business in New York with the approval of the Commission and Michael Corleone (Al Pacino). Zasa is feared and, to a certain degree, respected among his peers in New York's underworld of organized crime for his business acumen and utter ruthlessness, but his flamboyance and hunger for publicity earns him the Corleone family's displeasure, as it attracts unwanted public attention to its criminal enterprises. Michael especially disapproves of Zasa's public profile and eagerness to deal in the drug trade.
