Cradle of Filth is a famous English gothic metal band, combining elements of symphonic, gothic, and black metal, whose music and imagery combine a violent, sexually-charged atmosphere, with dark, yet often playful lyrics, helped along by Dani Filth's love for (and talent with) puns and wordplay. They started out in 1991 as a sympho black metal project but soon changed their tune.

In 1994, Cradle of Filth were signed to the record label 'Cacophonus', on which they released their first album 'The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh'. Cacophanous also Pressed the Vempire EP in 1996. After this the band were signed to Music For Nations, Where they produced three of their most prominent full length CDs to date; "Dusk and Her Embrace", "Cruelty and the Beast", and "Midian". The "From the Cradle to Enslave" EP and a Compilation dubbed "Bitter Suites to Succubi" also featured many original songs, as well as some covers. Then in 2003, they signed to Sony and released only one album on this record label, 'Damnation and a Day'. At the beginning of 2004 however, they left Sony and signed to Roadrunner records, which has been their label to date. They have also been signed to two other record labels; Music For Nations and Abracadaver. Cradle Of Filth created the record label Abracadaver and released one album under this name. They hope to sign bands to this label in the near future.

As well as releasing all those studio albums, they have also released a number of DVDs including 'PanDaemonAeon', 'Heavy, Left Handed and Candid' and 'Peace Through Superior Firepower' . Cradle of Filth has also been involved in a horror film directed by Alex Chandon called 'Cradle of Fear' in which Dani stars as "The Man", the rest of the band also feature in the film.

Cradle of Filth have undergone numerous lineup changes in the past, the only person who has remained in the band from the start is Dani Filth himself.

Cradle of Filth are also known for doing covers such as: Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name, Sodom – Sodomy and Lust, Venom – Black Metal, Sabbat – For Those Who Died,The Sisters of Mercy – No Time to Cry, Bathory – Bestial Lust (Bitch), Anathema – Sleepless, Cliff Richard – Devil Woman, Ozzy Osbourne – Mr. Crowley, Heaven 17 – Temptation,Misfits – Death Comes Ripping and Misfits – Halloween 2.

One of the most famous Cradle of Filth songs to date is Cradle of Filth – From the Cradle to Enslave, the uncut video of which was banned on MTV for extreme gore and nudity. Other famous songs being Cradle of Filth – Dusk and Her Embrace, Cradle of Filth – Her Ghost in the Fog, Cradle of Filth – Born in a Burial Gown, Cradle of Filth – Nymphetamine,A Gothic Romance,Desire In Violent Overture and the latest song Cradle of Filth – Temptation.
 
ma kakve veze ima nastranost?! vidite li vi šta pričate?? nije važno šta je neko u privatnom životu! je li pedofil, lezbijka, gej i slično! važno je šta od muzike stvara. omg :roll: pa kad ima ljudi koji kao vi gledaju na muziku tj. ne posmatraju muziku i ne slušaju muziku već muzičara što je više nego pogrešno. blah.
 
Slažem se da nije bitno šta je u privatnom životu, kao što sam rekla Rob Halfor je druga priča, i on se nikada nije isticao u javnosti njegovu seksualnu orjentaciju, ali COF to namjerno prikazuju (gade mi se) , za Roba se tek saznalo kada su se Judasi bili raspali....
 
boli mene uvo sta oni rade u privatnom zivotu,mogu biti i serijske ubice ali ako dobro prze ja cu ih slusati.
problem je sto ovaj nakaradni bend ne zna da svira a plus izgledaju kao gomila pi*ki..
ako zelim da slusam gothic (mada oni nisu gothic) odvrnucu After Forever.. ako mi se slusa najtvrdja muzika (a to su jos manje!) tu su Mayhem,Immortal i Dark Forest
 
Cradle je ok band, ali kod black metal bandova mi se ne svidja to shto ne razumem uvek text... Skoro nikad... Ali pesme kao shto su Nymphetamine ili Babylon AD su extra... Malo mi je to sa black metalom prenabudzeno, ali nekako ipak izgleda i zvuchi ok... Nekako... Ja volim kada postoji neka melodija koja se izvlachi iz sve buke i dreke... ;) Poz!

pa ako ćemo iskreno, evo ja volim cradle da slušam i potpuno su mi okay...ali u pravu si po tom pitanju, bilo bi mnogo bolje samo instrumental recimo da je u svakoj pjesmi jer je muzika fenomenalna, ali i ovako je dobro...zavisi od uqsa :wink:
