Horology (from Greek: ὥρα, "hour, time" and Greek: λόγος, logos, "study, speech"; lit. the study of time)
Po ovom pametnjakovicu sa vikipedije rijec
horologija je grcka.
Horā (Sanskrit होरा, "hour", from Greek ὥρα) is a branch of the traditional Indian system of astrology
The Slavic Primary Chronicle is a major work with many valuable references to the pagan beliefs of Eastern Slavs. The chronicle treats the history of the early Eastern Slavic state. Even though the manuscript was compiled at the beginning of the 12th century, it contains references to and copies of older documents, and describes events predating the Baptism of Kiev.
Two deities, Perun and Veles/Volos, are mentioned in the text of the early 10th century peace treaties between pagan rulers of East Slavs and Byzantine Emperors. Later, Nestor the Chronicler describes a state pantheon introduced by Prince Vladimir in Kiev in 980 CE. Vladimir's pantheon included Perun, Hors, Dažbog, Stribog, Simargl, and Mokosh. The Hypatian Codex of the Primary Chronicle also mentions Svarog, compared to Greek Hephaestus. Also very interesting are the passages in the East Slavic epic The Tale of Igor's Campaign referring to Veles, Dažbog, and Hors. The original epic has been dated to the end of the 12th century, although there are marginal disputes over the authenticity of this work.
vrijeme.
Sta je bio bog Hors?
In Slavic mythology, Hors (Old Church Slavonic: Хърсъ, Cyrillic: Хорс) is the Slavic sun god.
The name Hors comes from the Iranian languages (Scythian or Sarmatian) — see Avestan: hvarə хšаētəm, Middle Persian: xvaršêt, Persian: xuršēt «shining sun».
According to the Russian Primary Chronicle, in 980, Vladimir I of Kiev «placed the idols at the hill outside the palace: wooden Perun… and Hors, Dažbog and Stribog and Simargl and Mokosh».
Based on the situation in the transfer of the gods of the pantheon of great prince Vladimir, the Hors was the second most important deity in this period. The author of Tale of Igor's Campaign provides the name of the Hors epithet Great.
Hypotheses about the functions of the god Hors based on the interpretation of the text of the Tale of Igor’s Campaign. It is believed that the Hors was the god of the solar disk. Hors moved across the sky during the day, and under the ground — at night. Based on a literal reading of the text Tale of Igor’s Campaign can be assumed and the existence of representations of the sacred «way of Hors», which Vseslav crossed somewhere between Kiev and Tmutarakan.
In connection with the motif of movement Hors among scientists there is a perception of «Riding of Hors».
Drevnim Slovenima
