591. Otpornost

Budino učenje je čudesno po tome što jednostavno ono što vam se događa pretvara u put probuđenja, umesto da na vaša životna iskustva gleda kao na neku vrstu devijacije od onoga što bi trebalo da se dešava. Što imate više poteškočća, to je u stvari veća šansa da vas one transformišu. Teške stvari provociraju u vama iritiranost i naviknute obrasce ponašanja iznose na površinu. I tada sve to postaje trenutak istine. Imate izbor da nastavite u skladu sa starim pogrešnima navikama ili da ostanete tu gde jeste, sa svom tom sirovošću i nelagodom situacije u kojoj ste i tako joj omogućite da vas transformiše, tu na licu mesta.

592. Dve bolesti

Monasi, postoje dve vrste bolesti. Koje dve? Bolest tela i bolest uma. Monasi, moguće je na ovom svetu videti bića koja ne pate od bolesti tela godinu dana, dve godine, tri, četiri, pet, deset, dvadeset, trideset, četrdeset, pedeset godina; čak i onih koji ne pate od bolesti tela sto godina. Ali je, monasi, teško naći na ovome svetu bića koja ne pate od bolesti uma čak i za trenutak, izuzev onih čije su mentalne nečistoće uklonjene.
