Da li Karposev ustanak ima etnicki predznak?

This rebellion was in the main a Christian anti-Ottoman uprising. To the extent that some sources may have called Karposh a Serb or something else is of lesser value as the rebellion in itself had different causes, origins and goals.

Karposh being called a "Serbian" may possibly indicate his place of origin.

Example, page 110 - https://books.google.ca/books?id=0x...page&q=kratovo bulgarian town germans&f=false

This explains why Ottoman sources, that the author relies on to put forth his theory, do not record them as "Germans", but rather as "Serbians", indicating their place of origin.
