Britney Spears' fifth studio album is the fifth studio album by American pop singer Britney Spears. It is her first studio album since In The Zone in November 2003.
As of June, 2007, the album is in final stages of production. Spears' record label anticipates a release in fall 2007 with a single that September.[16][1]
An anonymous insider accused Jive records of not knowing how to market the album, claiming that Spears has "lost her core fan base of teen girls" because of widely reported incidents in her personal life, and asserting that Jive has not yet picked a producer for the album. Jive has countered by issuing a statement saying that it "is not worried about marketing the album", and that in fact it is "looking forward to the release" in the second half of 2007, stating that it does not comment on its artists' personal lives.[16]
In December 2006, Sean Garrett spoke about the upcoming album and called it "incredible." He said the seven tracks he had produced were "exciting, aggressive, and fun." He added that her music was "definitely getting back to the basics and trying to make the world dance and sing to her beat."[6] In April 2007, he further commented that, "Her new album is like 'Toxic' times 10. It's going to be a lot of fun and really exciting."[17] On the subject of the single he produced for Spears, Garrett commented in June 2007, "It's uptempo, out of control...it's wowzers, produced by me and Bloodshy. I can't give the title yet, but the record is done and definitely what people want to hear from her."[18]

Most reviewers, however, saw Spears as a pop star who never claimed to be anything but, and who succeeded at making pop music. For example, Rolling Stone magazine gave the album 4.5 stars out of 5, saying "Britney's demand for satisfaction is complex, fierce and downright scary, making her a true child of rock & roll tradition"[1], and also refers to her "song-factory" and "fantastic pop cheese", while NME reported (with a score of 8 out of 10) that "She's modern-day pop perfection realised in a nearly, human form" [2], though it also refers to her as an "evil genius" and rather cynically compares her music to the addictive drug ketamine based on the drug's tendency to blank the user's mind and thought processes.

Mozart bi delovao cak i jadno pored onolike snage ... ali Mozart je lep ... i ako se slusa kako treba lepsi je od Betovena koji je snazniji ... tako ja gledam na sve to ... uporedjivanjem dve razlicite po karakteru stvari moze se lako zanemariti lepota svega ... 8) :-o

I've often heard fans of that bitch saying that we, intelligent people who are wise enough to see how much she *****, were jealous, gellus, gelous (or whatever you spell it like) of her! They just can't seem to understand that to disagree with someone does not mean to be jealous of them.
