ne pominje. Sad se otapa led. Iz godine u godinu se led sve više topi i nivo
mora je sve veći, al kako ja to zamišljam kad te priče slušam, do sada bi
mnogo toga bilo potopljeno. Al se ništa ne dešava. Osim što se novi porezi
smišljaju.

Cold with snow chances Saturday​

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We have been gradually squeezing the nice mild air out of our state throughout Friday. Have warm winter clothing on hand for the weekend as well below normal temperatures are expected. We’re also tracking some snow for Saturday as well.
Friday night: We are in for a much colder night with lows falling into the low 30s. There is the chance for some snow showers to start working into southwestern Indiana closer to daybreak.

Drivers in western New Yorks Erie County still advised to stay off the roads after deadly storm dumps almost 6 feet of snow in some areas
Even by western New York standards, Friday’s snowstorm was colossal, bringing eye-level accumulation totals to some areas and prompting officials to tell many people who are used to driving in bad weather to stay off the roads.

“I can say that our deputies have been just absolutely inundated with calls for service as it pertains to disabled motor vehicles and stranded motorists,” Erie County Undersheriff William J. Cooley said at a news conference Friday night as heavy, wet snow continued to fall. “We implore the residents to just, please, obey the travel ban, you become part of the problem very quickly when you’re out there on the streets.”

Snowfall totals reached 5 feet in at least two locations. Orchard Park, where the Buffalo Bills had been scheduled to play their now-relocated NFL game Sunday, had snowfall totals of up to 66 inches by Friday evening. Blasdell, about eight miles from Buffalo, recorded 65 inches as of 8:30 p.m.

Snowstorm Expected to Stretch 1,200 Miles from Nebraska to Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania by Late Week​


A snowstorm is expected to stretch 1,200 miles from Nebraska to Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania later this week.

This is according to AccuWeather meteorologists who also said that the looming snowfall event is caused by the same storm that disrupted travel in the Western US last weekend.

The storm also has the potential to cause flooding in the Mississippi and Tennessee valleys by Thursday, December 8.

The forecasted adverse weather comes several weeks after a historic lake-effect snowstorm rampaged through the Midwest and Northeast, burying and paralyzing parts of western-northern New York, including the city of Buffalo.

However, temperatures are expected to drop and snowstorms are imminent as the US enters December, drawing near to its 2022 winter season.

Svetska metereološka organizacija (SMO) upozorila je danas da se, toplo vreme na planeti i porast nivoa mora, pogoršavaju brže nego ranije.

- Najnoviji izveštaj o stanju globalne klime je hronika klimatskog haosa. Na signal opasnosti planete, moramo odgovoriti ambicioznim, kredibilnim klimatskim akcijama - rekao je generalni sekretar Ujedinjenih nacija Antonio Gutereš, preneo je AP.

Svetska metereološka organizacija u godišnjem klimatskom izveštaju navela je da je porast nivoa mora u protekloj deceniji bio dvostruko veći nego 1990-ih, a od januara 2020. godine skočio je još više od toga.

Podaci o nivou mora i prosečnim temperaturama nisu ništa u poređenju sa onim kako su klimatske promene pogodile ljude u ekstremnim vremenskim uslovima, navodi američka agencija.

Naglo smanjenje leda​

Izveštaj naglašava letnju neverovatnu poplavu u Pakistanu u kojoj je poginulo više od 1.700 ljudi i raseljeno 7,9 miliona, užasavajuću četvorogodišnju sušu u istočnoj Africi u kojoj je više od 18 miliona gladnih, reku Jangcekjang koja je presušila na najniži nivo u avgustu, i rekord toplotni talasi koji je bio u Evropi i Kini.

- Ovaj najnoviji izveštaj Svetske meteorološke organizacije glasi kao laboratorijski izveštaj za kritično bolesnog pacijenta, ali u ovom slučaju pacijent je Zemlja - rekla je klimatolog Dženifer Frensis iz Centra za istraživanje klime Vudvel u Kejp Kodu.

U izveštaju se navodi da su nivoi ugljen-dioksida, metana i azot-oksida, koji zadržavaju toplotu, dostigli rekordno visoke nivoe, a metan se povećava rekordnom brzinom. Naglašava se da to znači više od samo zagrevanja temperature na kopnu. Takođe, kako se navodi u izveštaju, led i ledeni pokrivač na Grenlandu naglo se smanjuju.

    In Austin, video showed transformer explosions overnight, which have left 120,000 Austin Energy customers without power as of Wednesday morning.
