“The enlightened person sees God manifested both as the One and as the many. He communes with the One in the silence of meditation, and with the many through work.
Thus to him the farmyard, the laboratory, the battlefield, or the market is as proper a place for communion with God as the temple, the cloister, the mountain cave, or the monk's cell.
But this lofty attitude cannot be maintained unless a person has become firmly rooted in the oneness of existence.”
