Alicia Keys, chuvena americhka R&B pevachica, je rodjena 25. januara 1981. godine, u Manhattan, New York.

Biografija i karijera:

Sa svojih 7 godina, Alicia se prvi put upoznala sa klavirom. Sazrela je kroz studije klasichne muzike, svirajutji Betovena, Mocarta i Shopena, koji joj je uzgred, i omiljeni.

Put ka uspehu, naravno, nije bio najlakshi. Imajutji za majku, belkinju, Terri Augello, i tamnoputog oca, Craig Cook, odrasla je u Hell's Kitchen, New York. "Bilo je to nekada cool mesto, ali 42. Ulica tada nije bila raj. Prostitutke, makroi, dileri droga.." prisetja se Keys. Kako bi se odvojila od ulichnog zhivota, Alicia se posvetjuje sviranju klavira, u svojoj 7. godini.

Alicia Keys je pogadjala Professional Performing Arts High School i ishla na probe sa vokalnim trenerom Conrad Robinson u Harlem Police Athletic League Community centru do svoje 16. godine. U medjuvremenu, Alicia je zavrshila gimnaziju i primljena je na Columbia University. Conrad je upoznao Keys i svog brata Jeff, Alicia's "betmen", koji je pocheo da trazhi pravi natpis.

Sa svojih 14 godina, gospodjica Keys je napisala svoju prvu pesmu "Butterflyz". Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, Donny Hathaway, su bile njene inspiracije, bash kao i Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z and Wu Tang. Alicia Keys je obuhvatila sve ove muzichke zhanrove i spojila ih u jedan, kreirajutji tako svoj sopstveni stil.

Njen prvi album, "Songs in A Minor", objavljen je 2001. godine. Alicia Keys je imala samo 20 godina. Album je izbacio nekoliko hit singlova, kao shto su "Fallin" i "Girlfriend" koji su lansirali Aliciu do zvezda. Kazhu da je njen dobar izgled takodje pomogao. Osvojila je 5 Grammy nagrada 2002. godine, kao i nagrade za najboljeg novog umetnika - Best New Artist i pesmu godine "Fallin". Keys takodje ima iza sebe i muziku radjenu za filmove, kao shto su "Men in Black" (1997), "Shaft" (2000) i "Dr. Doolittle 2" (2001).
 
2003. godine objavila je i svoj drugi album, "The Diary of Alicia Keys".

- Pochela je da svira klavir sa 7 godina.
