Opening a two day summit on investment in Eastern Europe, Djelic said that it is very important that investment in the region does not decrease during the crisis. He recalled that the Serbian government will focus on large infrastructure projects this year.
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for EU integration Bozidar Djelic said today that foreign direct investment in Serbia during the first quarter of this year stood at €625 million, adding that it is expected that by the end of 2009 investments will amount to €1.5 billion.
Opening a two day summit on investment in Eastern Europe, Djelic said that it is very important that investment in the region does not decrease during the crisis. He recalled that the Serbian government will focus on large infrastructure projects this year.
Djelic said that investment in Corridor 10 will stand at more than €1.6 billion and that the Serbian government is planning to begin the construction of a new bridge on the Danube.
He said that talks are underway with China about a loan of nearly €200 million for this project, adding that talks with Russia should begin about continuing the construction of the metro in Belgrade.

oni koji su malo vishe upoznati sa materiom znaju o chemu se radi i na kom principu su zasnovani ti krediti od ruja i kineza. verovatno chete chuti i to da su u pitanju veoma jeftini i povoljni krediti, pored hvalospeva upuchenih kineskoj i ruskoj brachi. ali, shto se kazhe, da sve shto je jeftino nije bash uvek i povoljno. konkretno, kineski kredit za most: jedan od uslova da celokupan posao bude poveren nekoj kineskoj trening kompaniji. shto dalje, drugim rechima znachi da chete tim kreditom koji chete vrachati sledechih 30 godina platiti mlade, neiskusne graditelje iz neke kineske trening kompanije, zaduzhene za usavrshavanje tih graditelja na jeftinim projektima u siromashnim zemljama. ne znam koliko vam je sve to poznato tamo, ali evo, tu smo da diskutujemo.
