Most E.coli recA mutants do not prevent lambda lysogeny. However, a unique recA mutant was isolated that permits lysogeny of lambda at 30C but not at 42C.
After hydroxylamine mutagenesis of a wild-type lambda lysate, it is posible to isolate rare lysogens in the above recA mutant strain 42C. What is the probable explanation for this result? How could you test your hypothesis?
Da li je to zato sto je temperatura promenjena, mutanu ne odgovara visoka temperatura pa umesto lysogeny ce preci u lytic growing?!?!?!
