Влада Ирске тражи забрану ФИАТ Пунта.
ране задобијене приликом судара су стравичне, и лекари саветују да "Се Пунто не изнајмљује туристима јер не пружа никакву заштиту"
A CORONER has warned car rental companies not to hire out Fiat Puntos to tourists -- insisting they provided "no protection whatsoever".
South Kerry Coroner Terence Casey made the comments during an inquest into the death of American tourist Ruth Dickerson (64), of Mission Avenue, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Ms Dickerson had been holidaying in Kerry when her rented Fiat Punto collided with an 11-tonne Bus Eireann coach on May 12, 2007 in an area known as Brennan's Glen, on the N22, the main Killarney to Tralee road.
She suffered multiple injuries, including losing both of her legs, as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The horrific wounds led the Garda Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Inspector Jim O'Brien to write to the manufacturer to complain about the design of the car. He said the design had meant the bar underneath the steering pump severed the driver's legs on collision.
