2006 – year of “Russian economic miracle” - - London City

LONDON, December 29 (Itar-Tass) - A ‘”Russian economic miracle” was witnessed in the outgoing year, during which Russia had confidently joined the group of global leaders thanks to the remarkably rapid rate and powerful progress of its economic development. This is indicated by the results of the closed public opinion poll, which some key investment banks had carried out in the London City, the “Daily Telegraph” reports. Edmond Warner, an analyst of the newspaper, believes that Russia, China and India are now the determining factors of global economy.

Numerous Russian companies were able to win strategically important positions on several key markets in the course of the past twelve months. The outgoing year was truly triumphant for Gazprom, which had grown to be a leader on the world energy market. It is being noted in London that the strengthening of Gazprom’s geopolitical positions had proceeded parallel to the powerful growth of its stock exchange capitalisation, which had turned this Russian company into one of the world’s leading corporations by the end of the year.

Russia’s positions in Europe have grown many-fold stronger. For instance, the Russian Rosneft Company had moved up to Europe’s first place as regards the initial offering of shares in 2006. It had obtained 10.7 billion U.S. dollars from the stock exchanges of Moscow and London.

It was precisely thanks to the Russian companies, which were actively offering their shares through the City, the London stock exchange was able to retain this year its positions as one of the leading commercial platforms, the Financial Times notes. On the whole, the European stock exchanges were able to attract 91 billion U.S. dollars in the past twelve months thanks to the initial offers of shares by different companies and enterprises. Thereby, largely due to Russia, Europe was able to retain its leadership in stock exchange activities.

Russia had not only determined in 2006 the situation in many sectors of the world commodity market, including those of petroleum and metals, but was able to consolidate its positions in science consuming and high-tech sectors, too. For instance, Russia has grown to be a global leader for the number of different-type satellite launches in the outgoing year. By the way, it is worth noting that the world scientific community had adjudged the title of “Scientist of the Year” to Russian scientist Grigory Perelman for solving the the Henri Pointcare hypothesis, something the wisest men of the world were unable to do for more than one hundred years.

The leading London City analysts forecast that 2007 will be just as successful for the world economy as the outgoing year.

Хе, хехехе. Сад још да дочекам ове из ДС-а да превале преко уста како треба стално да се "гузимо" Русији - приоритетно а не ЕУ и Американцима. Дочекаће чика и то ...
